All care leavers have access to a dedicated team of expert tutors and support and pastoral staff, who can provide you with a personalised package of education, support and guidance.
All students also have access to a wide range of social and recreational facilities and activities, including outstanding career and progression guidance.
We provide access to a wide range of enrichment and career development opportunities, including the Duke of Edinburgh award, work experience, industry and work-related visits, guest speakers and masterclasses.
Health and wellbeing support is available through onsite emotional health staff including mentors, an NHS college nurse and qualified counsellors.
The campus provides a safe and engaging place to work and study, with access to a range of additional services, such as our excellent library and learning resource centre, refreshment outlets, a high quality restaurant, hair and beauty services, gym and other leisure activities.
We have excellent links with local services on a range of issues around health and wellbeing, financial, housing, volunteering, faith and religious organisations etc.
All care leavers will have access to appropriate ICT equipment and resources during their studies.

If you decide that Accrington and Rossendale College is the college for you, our student services staff are dedicated to assessing your entitlement to a range of financial support options.
You will have access to an enhanced financial support package for 16-18 years olds (up to £1,200), and 19+ care leavers may be eligible for other bursary funding and other benefits.
Student services staff are happy to talk through how we may be able to provide additional financial support. We can support with seven-day travel passes and food whilst at college.
We will supply all necessary equipment for your course.
You will have a free college gym pass.
All learners, staff and members of the public have access to a college-based community food share scheme.
