The information on this page was last updated on 27 August 2018.

The details of support available can change, so before you apply it's best to speak to the named contact to check exactly what they offer.

We have named contacts across the university working with and assisting care leavers, including a designated mentor providing one-to-one advice and guidance during your degree.

We also provide enhanced access to all student services, incorporating tailored careers advice and academic support.

Full details of the named contacts can be found on our dedicated care leavers' webpage.

We offer guaranteed 365-day accommodation for all care leavers in our university halls of residence, as well as free access to our pre-entry academic skills courses to aid the transition to university life.

We also operate a buddying scheme run by students who act as mentors pre-arrival, and throughout your first term.

Our students' union advice centre is available to offer support in a variety of areas, including finance and accommodation matters, and can be contacted via e-mail at: suadvice@bucks.ac.uk.

We have previously been holders of the Buttle UK Quality Mark, and are committed to supporting care leavers into university and throughout their time at Bucks New University.
