In collaboration with a number of local charities, Coleg Gwent can offer you a full range of support including: financial support, study skills, CV building, help with numeracy and literacy, chaplaincy, counselling, and additional learning support for those who need it  both in and out of the classroom.

Education maintenance allowance
You could be entitled to up to £30 a week (paid every two weeks), depending on your circumstances.

Welsh government learning grant
If you're over 19 you could be entitled to up to £1,500 a year, depending on your circumstances.

Financial contingency fund
Care leavers who are UK, Isle of Man or EU residents can apply for this means-tested fund (only once you've applied for the education maintenance allowance or Welsh government learning grant).

You could also apply to the David Davies Memorial Trust, the Discretionary Assistance Fund in Wales and the Prince's Trust Development Award  find out more on our website.
