Coleg Sir Gar has a designated point of contact for all looked-after children and care leavers, who is happy to give advice and guidance on the range of support available. The college has a dedicated team of mentors across all campuses, who will offer you support on a one-to-one basis with applications, advocacy and personal mentoring support. The college offers a care leaver bursary for full-time higher education students. Students are able to apply for the bursary at the start of each year of their course, and are therefore able to receive a payment of £500 per academic year. Students are advised to apply at the start of each year, as the fund is cash limited.
