The details of support available can change, so before you apply it's best to speak to the named contact to check exactly what they offer.

Making the important decision to enter into higher education can be life-changing, marking the start of a new chapter and possibly a new career direction.

All of our courses are flexible to suit your circumstances, and offer excellent value for money. You can choose to study on a full-time basis, or part-time to fit around home or existing employment commitments.

We will support you every step of the way, come and talk to us – we have dedicated teams who can help you with the application process and transition to Kendal College.

You will have an allocated person within college who can guide and support you throughout your time here; from support before you join us, making choices about courses, understanding the support available both within college and from local services, making the most of college facilities, and supporting you to consider your plans after you move on from college.

Most students have some financial concerns when coming to college, or incur additional costs associated with coming to college. We offer support to students to ensure they have access to all college-related financial support at both further education and higher education levels of study.

At further education level, we will consider students' needs in terms of transport, equipment, trips, meals and independent living bursaries, as appropriate to support your positive and successful experience at college.

In relation to higher education, we want to make your higher education as affordable as possible; that is why our fees are lower than those of universities. Kendal College offers high quality, affordable education with a variety of funding sources available to those who need them.

There is a range of funding options available for our degree students. The access to learning fund provides discretionary financial assistance for students to access and remain in higher education – particularly those students who need financial help to meet extra costs that cannot be met from other sources of support.

The college offers two £2,000 bursaries to new full-time undergraduate students, and will make you aware of the application process once you are enrolled on your programme.
