The details of support available can change, so before you apply it's best to speak to the named contact to check exactly what they offer.
We provide a confidential counselling service to ensure that you can access support for any personal matters that may affect your studies, and we have a college chaplain who offers spiritual support.
We have a self referral system for counselling, and forms can be accessed at main reception or by email request to student services. The assessment and support team offers specialist advice, assessment and resources for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
The Information, Advice and Guidance Team can support with career pathway planning. The student common room serves as a hub of student life at the college. Students can drop in during their free time to catch up with friends, access tea and coffee, or take out a laptop to catch up on some work.
Our Youth and Wellbeing team staff the common room, and are available to give impartial advice about a range of issues from 8am -5.30pm Monday-Friday during Term Time.
We offer students a point of contact in student services through our Designated Teacher for LAC and Leaving Care Students, who will provide a link with your leaving care worker and attend any meetings to provide support and continuity at your request. They can also meet for 1:1 sessions and support at meetings or with making referrals for services. There is a designated phone number for you to text/call them during term times 07580204653 between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
