Welcome to Queen Mary University of London. We are delighted that you are thinking of applying to study here. We want to give you all the help you need to get to university, and to succeed here.
We offer programmes and events for care-experienced students throughout the year. This year you can find out what university is really like by shadowing current students, taking part in lectures, having a look around the campus, and meeting with our advice and counselling team for some pre-entry advice, or for some help with writing your personal statement.
Once you have accepted an offer from Queen Mary, we can help you find somewhere to live. We work with Unite Foundation to offer 365 days of accommodation for up to five students. Find out more here: www.qmul.ac.uk/undergraduate/feesandfunding/bursaries/ugfunding/101852.html.
When you get here, if you find that you need help with your studies or your mental health, I am here to help you throughout your course, as your dedicated care leaver contact.
As a student, you can support our outreach work by applying for our WP Ambassador Scheme. This is a great way to make friends, feel part of a team, and gain a whole host of skills, as well as earning some cash. You can find out about the services and activities on offer at our active student union by clicking on the link to the left. And please have a look at our care leaver webpage for more information.
