Care leavers are supported by the Inclusion service at Manchester Metropolitan University. Your named contact is Louise Robinson (Inclusion Adviser). We offer one-to-one support to care leavers to make sure you are aware of the support that is available to you whilst studying at MMU and any external support agencies available.
The Students' Union has a range of clubs, societies, volunteering opportunities and events for you to get involved with. You can find out more details by contacting the SU via firstname.lastname@example.org. They also have a free, confidential Advice service which provides guidance on queries such as academic, housing, debt, and funding. The Advice Centre can be contacted via email@example.com.
Manchester Metropolitan University has a Counselling, Mental Health and Wellbeing service which has a range of different services on offer. They provide one-to-one appointments with a counsellor or mental health adviser, and there are a range of workshops and courses that can be accessed online. Here at Manchester Metropolitan University there is a Care Leaver Bursary which is available to eligible undergraduate students in each year of their studies at MMU. The bursary is £1000 per year for eligible full time undergraduate students.
