Hello! My name is Emma, and I’m the named contact for care-experienced applicants at the University of Manchester. Thanks for visiting our page. I’m here to answer any questions you might have; we can discuss your application, give information about the course or campus, and I can explain the support you’ll be entitled to throughout your time at Manchester. We use contextual data in our offer making for care experienced applicants – from the 2022 cycle, refugees and students who have been looked after in care for more than three months may be eligible for a two grade reduction in the admissions process.
Once you’re here – we have a small team who can support you throughout your study with all aspects of study advice and answer any general questions you have. The University can provide flexible, year-round accommodation in University halls, for the duration of your study. We also offer paid student ambassador roles where you can work with prospective students, with the option of working on our pre-entry events for care leavers, if you wish.
So; if you’d like to find out more - please don’t hesitate to contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org and we can arrange a time for a chat.
