The details of support available can change, so before you apply it's best to speak to the named contact to check exactly what they offer.

Care leavers can access support from student services throughout the academic year. This may include mentoring (for emotional/organisational/practical support), disability and wellbeing, finance or careers advice. Student services have bookable appointments throughout the week, so please give us a call or meet with us if you have any questions. In addition, the students' union has an advice centre where all students, including care leavers, can access confidential and impartial support and advice: The University offers a range of workshops and activities that will help you start your course and get used to studying in higher education. Please speak to an adviser if you would like more information about what workshops are available.
