The details of support available can change, so before you apply it's best to speak to the named contact to check exactly what they offer.

Wirral Met College offers a range of support if you are currently or have previously been looked after by your local authority.

Student advisers, who are based at Conway Park Campus, offer a drop-in service so you can come along and talk to them about what opportunities are available at the college.

The drop-in service is available Monday to Friday, 10.00am to 4.00pm (all year round) with late opening on Wednesdays and Thursdays until 6.30pm (term-time only).

Our pastoral support mentor team is available if you want to pop in and have a look around the campus where you will be studying, to help you familiarise yourself with the environment, get to know where the facilities are, and meet some of our tutors.

This service is offered to individuals if you have not yet applied, and for those who are anxious and nervous about coming in for the first time. You can come in as many times as you feel you need to.

If you have any learning difficulties or disabilities, our additional learning support team and specialist support tutors will meet you to discuss your requirements, and create a support plan for both you and your tutor to implement. Personal tutors will create an individual learning plan with you and ensure SMART (specific, measurable, realistic and timely) targets are set and worked towards.

Counsellors and mental health specialists are also on hand if you feel you need emotional support or help with mental health-related issues.
