Solihull College welfare service can provide extensive pastoral support, to enable you to reach your full potential. We know that your circumstances are private, and therefore we will tailor support to suit your needs.
The student welfare team will be available to help and advise you – we have strong internal and external links, and we run a daily drop-in, as well as an appointment system. All of our services are confidential within the limits of safeguarding.

Solihull College and University Center offers financial advice and support to students who are looked-after children or care leavers.
Students aged 16 to 18 can apply for an enhanced bursary of £1,200, which is paid in installments over the academic year. Eligible students need to provide the college with written confirmation of their status – this can be obtained from your local authority. Allocations of funds is subject to attendance, punctuality, behavior and course work, and these are monitored weekly.
Further education students aged 19 to 25 can also apply for financial support from our learner support fund. Students applying for higher education courses will be eligible to apply for financial support from Student Finance England. Support in accessing this is available from our student welfare service.
